Slagen is not a language journey. It's a deadline machine for the Dutch inburgering exams: built around your booked date, calibrated on your official DUO practice scores, honest enough to tell you to move the date — or to stop preparing and go pass.
Slagen is an independent study tool. Not affiliated with DUO or the Dutch government. We link to the official practice exams — we never copy them.
Every inburgering exam part costs its own fee, every retake costs it again — plus at least two weeks of waiting for a new slot and up to eight weeks for results. Slots in busy regions fill months ahead. Guessing whether you're ready is the expensive habit.
Set the booked exam date and your real free minutes. Slagen prices your ambition — pass (65%), solid (80%), excellent (92%) — into a daily contract that fits your actual life, and tells you when it doesn't fit.
Once a week you sit an official DUO practice exam (we link them; we never copy them) and log your score. Readiness recalibrates on ground truth — and shows the delta even when it's unflattering. An estimate you can trust because it's allowed to disagree with you.
Natural Dutch voices at exam pace. Mock exams that play audio once, like the real player. Scores in the exam's own …/25 language. Mistakes become tomorrow's lesson automatically.
Subscriptions earn more the longer you stay unready. Slagen is one-time, so our incentives point the same way yours do: at the exit. Each week the instrument gives you one verdict and one job.
"Book it. Stop preparing." When your official practice scores clear the gate, more studying is procrastination with a clean conscience.
"One thing this week." Not a dashboard of guilt — the single highest-value fix, chosen from your own mistakes.
"Consider moving the date." Said early, with the numbers on the table — while rebooking is still cheap. No app that bills monthly will ever say this to you.
Readiness is an estimate based on your practice data — not a guarantee of an exam result. It's decision support; the decision stays yours.
Slagen's maker sits the Luisteren A2 exam on 17 August 2026 — prepared exclusively with this app and the official practice exams. The scores below are real, logged as they happen, published win or lose. That's the standard of honesty the app holds you to; it would be strange to hold ourselves to less.
Next checkpoint: official practice exam #2, Sunday 26 July. This page updates after every checkpoint.
| Date | Checkpoint | Score | Gate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 16 Jul | Official practice #1 (cold start) | 14/25 | baseline |
| 26 Jul | Official practice #2 | — | ≥16/25 |
| 2 Aug | Official practice #3 · go/no-go | — | ≥17/25 |
| 12 Aug | Final gate before taper | — | ≥19/25 |
| 17 Aug | Luisteren A2 — the real exam | — | slagen |
Dialogues with natural neural voices at exam pace, distractor traps like the real thing, play-once mock exams scored in …/25.
Aligned with the official themes — health, housing, work, history, politics. The part most language apps barely mention.
Frequency-first order, articles always included, separable verbs shown split — the #1 listening trap trained explicitly. Spaced repetition does the rest.
Official assignment formats with instant AI feedback — clearly labeled as AI, and it works with made-up personal details.
Morning, lunch, evening slots → daily contract, calendar export, printable week. Miss a day? One free repair a week. No hearts, no guilt.
The real benchmarks, one tap away. We link the official material and never copy it — that's the deal that keeps your training honest.
Naturalization today requires the inburgering exam at A2 (or NT2 B1/B2) — per the official DUO pages.
The January 2026 coalition agreement confirms the intent to raise the language requirement to B1. B1 is roughly twice the study hours of A2 for most learners.
No fixed date: the change needs a royal-decree amendment (the responsible minister previously estimated ~a year of process). The window is open — and documented to be closing.
No countdown theatrics: these are dated facts with primary sources — check them yourself at inburgeren.nl and duo.nl. We re-verify weekly and update this page when anything moves.
Readiness is an estimate from your own practice data — no app can guarantee an exam result, and this one won't pretend to. The guarantee is a commercial safety net on our price, not insurance.
No. Slagen is an independent study tool. The official practice exams belong to DUO — we link to them as your weekly benchmark and never copy their content. Your exam registration, fees and results are between you and DUO.
No app can promise that, including this one. What Slagen does: turns your booked date into a daily plan sized to your real minutes, trains you in the exam's own format, and calibrates your readiness against official practice scores so your booking decision is evidence, not hope. The minutes are still yours to put in.
Because incentives leak into products. A subscription needs you to stay; we need you to leave passed. One price, aligned interests, and the app is free while in beta anyway — judge it yourself before anything opens.
It stays in your browser on your device. No ads, no analytics cookies, no tracking pixels — on this page or in the app. An optional account exists only if you want sync across devices; AI feedback works with made-up personal details by design.
All five Wi2013 A2 parts. Deepest today: Luisteren (the maker's own next exam — see the receipts above) and KNM. Lezen, Schrijven and Spreken tracks are in and growing in that order. B1/NT2 comes after the A2 mission is done.
Both. It's a web app — open the link, and on a phone you can install it to your home screen in two taps. Works offline once loaded; audio included.
